From Efficiency Maine
Efficiency Maine is a statewide effort to promote the more efficient use of electricity, help Maine residents and businesses reduce energy costs, and improve Maine's environment. Efficiency Maine offers a number of incentives and rebates for both commercial and residential customers. Visit them online at www.efficiencymaine.com to learn more. Here are a few of the programs that they offer:
- Residential Lighting Program
The program offers a $1.50 instant rebate on ENERGY STAR® qualified compact fluorescent bulbs (CFLs) and $12 off ENERGY STAR® qualified outdoor CFL hard-wired fixtures, indoor hard-wired fixtures, table lamps, floor lamps, torchieres and hardwired ceiling fans with integrated light kits.
- Business Program
Efficiency Maine's business program offers free advice and cash incentives for the installation of qualifying electrical equipment. See our 2007 program updates to learn how you can participate. Incentives are available for Lighting, Refrigeration, HVAC and more. Save money and improve the environment.
From Bangor Hydro
Bangor Hydro offers a number of free programs to our customers to help them control their energy costs.
- Automatic Meter Reading (AMR)
With Bangor Hydro's new
AMR meters we are now able to record our customers consumption daily. With this data we are able to help customers who have questions about their consumption and more accurately pinpoint what days their usage spiked.
