We appreciate your interest in Bangor Hydro Electric Company’s Charitable Giving Program. We believe strongly in supporting and enhancing the communities in which we live and serve through our contributions to worthwhile organizations and causes. Bangor Hydro's charitable giving team reviews applications on a quarterly basis. Please allow eight to ten weeks prior to your event, if applicable, to allow the team time to review your application. If approved, Bangor Hydro will support an organization for a maximum of three consecutive years, unless special arrangements have been made. This allows us to provide meaningful support to a wider variety of organizations. The information provided below explains the application process and details concerning our Charitable Giving Program. All requests must be accompanied by a complete application to be considered. Objective It is the objective of the Bangor Hydro Electric Company to support and enhance the communities in which we serve through a Charitable Giving Program designed to provide meaningful assistance to a broad spectrum of not-for-profit organizations throughout the Bangor Hydro Electric Company service territory. The Charitable Giving Program will consist of, but not be limited to, providing financial assistance to a host of not-for-profit organizations/causes. In some instances, gifts-in-kind of services rendered will be provided as part of the Bangor Hydro Electric Company’s social accountability efforts. Areas of Support Bangor Hydro Electric Company’s Charitable Giving Program will provide meaningful support to organizations and causes which have one of these focuses: educational, economic, social, healthcare, humanitarian or cultural. The Charitable Giving Program will not support religious activities; fundraisers or benefits for individuals; or graduation, prom or holiday parties. In addition, the Charitable Giving Program will not make contributions for operating expenses. Criteria Considered Bangor Hydro Electric Company will utilize the following criteria in determining support for charitable giving requests.

Organizations that do not follow the application process will not be considered. All applicants will receive written notification of Bangor Hydro Electric Company’s decision to either approve or deny the request.
